rasterised
Converted to pixels
Rasterised is the British spelling of rasterized, describing an image or graphic that has been converted into a grid of pixels.
When vector graphics—which use mathematical formulas to define shapes—are rasterised, they become fixed-resolution bitmap images that cannot be scaled up without losing quality.
The term comes from the raster scanning pattern used in displays.
The logo was rasterised for web use but we kept the vector file for printing.
