interpolated

Added between points

Interpolated means inserted between existing elements.

In mathematics and data analysis, to interpolate is to estimate unknown values that fall between known data points: We interpolated the missing readings from adjacent measurements.

In textual scholarship, interpolated passages are later additions to an original document—lines a scribe or editor inserted that weren't in the source.

More generally, interpolated describes anything slipped into the middle of something else: interpolated remarks, interpolated scenes.
