quickscope
Split-second aimed shot
Quickscope is a technique in first-person shooter video games where a player briefly aims down the sights of a sniper rifle and fires almost immediately, achieving the accuracy bonus of scoping without the vulnerability of staying zoomed in.
The move requires precise timing and is often shown off in highlight clips: He quickscoped three enemies in a row.
As a verb, to quickscope someone is to kill them this way.
