blind fire
Shooting without seeing
Blind fire is shooting without seeing the target, typically while taking cover.
A soldier might blind fire around a corner or over a barrier to suppress enemy movement without exposing themselves to return fire.
The technique trades accuracy for safety: He reached his arm around the doorframe and blind fired into the hallway.
