punt return
Fielding the kick
A punt return is the play in American football when a player catches a punt kicked by the opposing team and attempts to advance it upfield.
The return begins when the ball is caught and ends when the returner is tackled, runs out of bounds, or scores: He averaged twelve yards per punt return.
A skilled punt returner can change field position dramatically or break free for a touchdown.
