princehood
Heir's noble rank
Princehood is the state or condition of being a prince—the rank, dignity, or status that comes with princely title.
The word appears in formal or literary contexts: He was raised to princehood by royal decree.
Less common than princedom, which tends to emphasize the territory a prince rules rather than the abstract quality of being one.
