pornware
Adult content malware
Pornware is software that displays pornographic content, typically installed without the user's knowledge or consent.
It may hijack browsers to redirect to adult websites, generate pop-up advertisements for pornography, or install itself bundled with other downloads.
The term belongs to the broader category of malware and spyware: The scan detected pornware that had been silently installed.
