A polarizing filter is a lens attachment that blocks light waves vibrating in certain directions, reducing glare and reflections while deepening color saturation.
Photographers use them to darken skies, cut through window reflections, or eliminate glare from water: The polarizing filter made the lake crystal clear.
They work by rotating to select which light passes through.
