Pixellated describes an image broken into visible square blocks, either from low resolution or deliberate blurring.
Digital images enlarged beyond their resolution become pixellated, individual pixels growing large enough to see.
Broadcasting pixellates faces and body parts to obscure identity or comply with censorship: The suspect's face was pixellated.
