Blur into squares
Pixellate means to display or render an image so that individual pixels become visible, creating a blocky, mosaic-like appearance.
This is often done deliberately to obscure faces, license plates, or sensitive content in photographs and video: The documentary pixellated the witnesses' faces.
The effect can also occur unintentionally when low-resolution images are enlarged.
