pitbulls
Blocky-headed dogs
Pitbulls is the plural of pitbull, a type of dog bred originally for fighting, characterized by a muscular build, broad head, and powerful jaws.
The term encompasses several breeds including the American Pit Bull Terrier and American Staffordshire Terrier.
Pitbulls inspire fierce debate—defenders emphasize their loyalty and gentleness with proper training, while critics point to attack statistics.
Breed-specific legislation restricts or bans them in many jurisdictions.
She rescues pitbulls from shelters.
