A working title is a temporary name for a project—a book, film, album, or other work—used during its creation before the final title is chosen.
Working titles let creators reference and discuss a project without committing to a name: The film's working title was "Blue Harvest" to keep production secret.
Some working titles stick; others bear no resemblance to what's eventually released.
