Thick Middle-Eastern yogurt
Labneh is a thick, tangy Middle Eastern dairy product made by straining yogurt until much of the whey drains away.
The result falls somewhere between yogurt and cream cheese in texture.
It's typically served drizzled with olive oil, often with za'atar or herbs, and eaten with flatbread: We had labneh for breakfast with pita and cucumbers.
