Gravelly wall coating

Pebbledash is an exterior wall finish made by embedding small pebbles or gravel into wet morite or cement.

Common on British houses from the early to mid-twentieth century, it creates a rough, textured surface that weathers well but divides opinion aesthetically: The whole estate was done in grey pebbledash.

Also called roughcast.

To pebbledash is to apply this finish.
