patellar
Concerning the kneecap
Patellar means relating to the patella—the kneecap.
The term appears almost exclusively in medical contexts: patellar tendon, patellar reflex.
The patellar reflex is the knee-jerk response when a doctor taps just below your kneecap with a small hammer.
