passage grave
Chambered burial mound
A passage grave is a prehistoric burial chamber reached through a narrow corridor, typically covered by a mound of earth or stone.
These megalithic tombs, found across Western Europe and dating to the Neolithic period, often contained multiple burials and grave goods.
Newgrange in Ireland is among the most famous examples.
