parting line
Where halves meet
A parting line is the seam or mark left on a molded object where the two halves of the mold met during manufacturing.
Visible on plastic toys, cast metal parts, and injection-molded products, it's often a thin ridge that may be sanded or trimmed away: You can see the parting line running down the action figure's arm.
