parrotlets
Tiny tropical birds
Parrotlets are very small parrots, typically five inches or less, native to Central and South America.
Despite their size, they have bold, feisty personalities often compared to larger parrots.
Several species are kept as pets, with the Pacific parrotlet being most common: Our parrotlet thinks he's an Amazon.
