park rangers
Public land stewards
Park rangers are government employees who manage and protect parks, forests, wildlife refuges, and other natural or recreational areas.
Their duties typically include enforcing regulations, educating visitors, maintaining trails and facilities, conducting search and rescue operations, and conserving wildlife and natural resources.
Rangers may work for federal agencies like the National Park Service, or for state and local park systems.
