papercut
Sheet edge injury
A papercut is a small wound made by the edge of a sheet of paper slicing the skin.
Despite being minor, papercuts are notoriously painful because they're shallow enough to expose nerve endings without drawing much blood: I got a papercut opening the envelope.
The word also refers to the art of cutting decorative designs from paper.
