paperboys

Morning delivery kids

A paperboy is a young person, traditionally a boy, who delivers newspapers to homes along a route, usually in the early morning before school.

The job was once a rite of passage for American youth, teaching responsibility and earning pocket money.

He got up at 5 a.m. every day for his paperboy route.

The term persists even as the role has largely disappeared with declining print newspaper subscriptions.
