palm sander
Handheld finishing tool
A palm sander is a small electric sanding tool designed to be held in one hand, with a flat vibrating pad that accepts sandpaper.
The compact size makes it useful for smoothing wood surfaces, removing finishes, and detail work in tight spaces: I used the palm sander to prep the cabinets before painting.
