hand sanding
Abrasive palm work
Hand sanding is the process of smoothing or finishing a surface using sandpaper held in the hand rather than attached to a power tool.
It offers more control for detail work, edges, and delicate surfaces where a power sander might remove too much material: I did the final pass by hand sanding to avoid gouging the wood.
