paint scheme
Vehicle's color design
A paint scheme is the planned arrangement of colors and patterns applied to a surface, especially vehicles.
Aircraft, cars, and boats have paint schemes that may indicate ownership, sponsor logos, or military unit: The team unveiled their new paint scheme for the season.
The term emphasizes that the colors form a deliberate design rather than a single uniform color.
