outvoted
Lost the ballot
Outvoted means defeated by receiving fewer votes than the opposing side.
Someone outvoted in a committee or election has lost the decision to the majority: She was outvoted three to one on the proposal.
The word emphasizes being on the losing side of a formal count rather than simply disagreeing.
