obgyn

Women's health doc

Obgyn (also ob-gyn, OB-GYN, or OB/GYN) is a clipped compound for obstetrics and gynecology—the medical specialty covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the female reproductive system.

More commonly, it refers to a physician in that specialty: I have an appointment with my obgyn next week.

The term functions as both noun and adjective: the obgyn department.
