vaginal delivery
Non-surgical birth method
Vaginal delivery is childbirth through the birth canal, as opposed to cesarean section.
The term appears in medical contexts where the distinction matters: She had a vaginal delivery with her first child but needed a C-section for the twins.
Also called natural delivery, though that term sometimes implies absence of pain medication.
