nullifier
One who cancels
A nullifier is someone or something that nullifies—that cancels, invalidates, or renders ineffective.
In American history, nullifiers were advocates of states' rights who argued that individual states could nullify federal laws they deemed unconstitutional: The nullifiers of South Carolina threatened secession over tariffs.
More broadly, any force or factor that negates something: Doubt is the great nullifier of ambition.
