note-taker
Jots things down
A note-taker is someone who records information during a meeting, lecture, or event.
The role may be informal—a student jotting down key points—or official, as when organizations designate someone to document proceedings: The committee appointed her as note-taker.
Note-taker also describes someone's general tendency: He's a compulsive note-taker.
