Grounded traveler registry
A no-fly list is a government roster of individuals prohibited from boarding commercial aircraft, typically for suspected terrorism connections.
Being on the no-fly list means automatic denial at airport security: He discovered he was on the no-fly list when they wouldn't let him board.
The term extends loosely to any blacklist of banned persons.
