neutronium

Pure nuclear matter

Neutronium is a hypothetical substance composed entirely of neutrons, packed together at extreme density.

The term appears in astrophysics to describe the theoretical material in neutron star cores, and in science fiction as an impossibly dense, often indestructible substance: The hull was made of neutronium.

In reality, neutrons cannot remain stable outside atomic nuclei under normal conditions.
