antineutrino

Beta decay emission

An antineutrino is the antimatter counterpart of a neutrino—a subatomic particle with no electric charge and nearly zero mass.

Antineutrinos are produced in nuclear reactions, particularly beta decay, when a neutron transforms into a proton.

Like neutrinos, they interact so weakly with matter that trillions pass through your body every second without effect.
