Hostile written complaint
A nastygram is an angry or hostile message, especially a formal complaint, cease-and-desist letter, or stern warning from someone in authority: I got a nastygram from the landlord about the noise.
The term often applies to automated system notifications about policy violations or overdue accounts.
It blends nasty with telegram, though actual telegrams are long obsolete.
