multimeters
Voltage measuring devices
Multimeters are electronic instruments that measure multiple electrical properties—typically voltage, current, and resistance—in a single device.
The name combines "multi" with "meter." Basic models use analog needle displays; digital multimeters dominate modern use.
Electricians, technicians, and hobbyists rely on them for troubleshooting circuits: Check the outlet with a multimeter before replacing the switch.
