test leads
Multimeter connection wires
Test leads are the wires that connect a measuring instrument—typically a multimeter or oscilloscope—to whatever circuit or component you're testing.
They usually come in pairs (red and black) with probes or clips at the ends: Connect the test leads to the battery terminals.
The term also applies to wires used with other electronic testing equipment.
