mouse pointer
Desktop navigation arrow
The mouse pointer is the small arrow or other symbol on a computer screen that moves in response to mouse movements, indicating where clicks will register.
The pointer changes shape to signal different functions—an I-beam for text selection, a hand for clickable links, a spinning wheel or hourglass while loading.
Also called cursor, though cursor more precisely refers to the blinking line marking text insertion points.
