Moon pie is a round snack consisting of two graham cracker cookies sandwiching marshmallow filling, coated in chocolate or other flavoring.
Associated with the American South, moon pies are traditionally paired with RC Cola.
The name comes from the shape and size—roughly as big as the moon in the sky: We stopped at a gas station and grabbed moon pies for the road.
