monoscopic
Lacking depth perception
Monoscopic describes vision or imagery that provides a single, flat perspective rather than the depth perception created by stereoscopic (two-eye) viewing.
A monoscopic image or display lacks the dimensional cues that come from seeing something from two slightly different angles simultaneously.
The term appears most often in discussions of virtual reality, photography, and visual technology, where it distinguishes flat 2D content from immersive 3D experiences.
The video was shot in monoscopic format, so it felt less immersive than true VR.
