unidimensional
Lacking depth, breadth
Unidimensional means having or considering only one dimension.
In literal use, it describes something existing along a single axis: a unidimensional line.
More often the word appears in criticism of thinking that oversimplifies complex matters: a unidimensional view of poverty that ignores cultural factors.
The word carries the same meaning as one-dimensional but sounds more technical.
