microsteps
Small gradual advances
Microsteps are tiny incremental actions toward a larger goal, small enough to feel nearly effortless: I break overwhelming tasks into microsteps.
In stepper motor technology, microsteps are subdivisions of a motor's full step, allowing smoother, more precise movement.
Both senses share the idea of dividing motion into finer units than the default.
