method actor
Role becomes reality
A method actor is a performer who draws on personal emotions and experiences to inhabit a role, often staying in character between scenes or off set.
The approach derives from Stanislavski's techniques and was popularized by Lee Strasberg.
Method actors are known for extreme preparation—gaining weight, learning skills, or immersing themselves in environments matching their characters: He's such a method actor he lived on the streets for a month.
