psychophysical
Linking sensation, stimulus
Psychophysical describes the relationship between physical stimuli and mental experience—how the measurable world connects to subjective perception.
In psychology, psychophysical experiments test things like the minimum light intensity a person can detect or how much weight must be added before a difference is noticed: psychophysical thresholds, psychophysical testing.
The term bridges the objective and the experiential.
