mentee
One being advised
A mentee is a person who receives guidance, advice, or training from a more experienced person—the mentor.
The word is a back-formation from mentor, treating the -or ending as if it indicated the one doing the action.
Though some consider it awkward or unnecessary, mentee has become standard in professional and educational contexts: The program pairs mentees with executives in their field.
