kilobits
Bandwidth measurement bits
Kilobits are units of digital information equal to one thousand bits.
Data transfer speeds are commonly measured in kilobits per second: a 56 kilobits-per-second modem.
Abbreviated kbit or kb.
Not to be confused with kilobytes, which are eight times larger.
