media keys
Volume and skip
Media keys are dedicated buttons on a keyboard or device that control audio and video playback—play, pause, skip forward, skip back, and volume.
They let you manage music or video without switching to the application: I hit the media key to pause the podcast during the call.
Most laptops include them as secondary functions on the top row.
