matriculated

Joined a university

Matriculated means formally enrolled or admitted as a member of a college or university.

The verb matriculate describes the process of being officially registered as a student: She matriculated at Oxford in the fall.

In American sports slang, matriculate has been humorously misused to mean advance or progress, as in matriculating the ball down the field, a usage that arose from a famous announcer's malapropism.
