matriculating
Entering a university
Matriculating is the present participle of matriculate, meaning to enroll formally in a college or university as a student.
The word appears most often in educational contexts describing the process of officially joining an institution: She's matriculating at Stanford this fall.
Unlike simply applying or being admitted, matriculating marks the actual entry into student status.
