Permanent ink stick
Magic Marker is a brand name for felt-tip pens with permanent ink, now used generically for any broad-tipped permanent marker.
The ink bleeds through paper and resists washing off most surfaces: Someone drew on the wall with magic marker.
Usually lowercase when generic.
