lowfat

Reduced lipid content

Lowfat or low-fat describes food products that have been processed or formulated to contain less fat than their standard versions.

The term appears prominently on packaging for dairy products, snacks, and prepared foods, often as part of diet-conscious marketing.

I switched to lowfat milk years ago.

What qualifies as lowfat is regulated differently across countries, but generally indicates a meaningful reduction from the original product's fat content.
