locknuts
Vibration-resistant threaded fasteners
Locknuts are nuts designed to resist loosening from vibration or torque.
A standard locknut threads onto a bolt and is tightened against another nut or surface to create friction that prevents backing off.
Some locknuts use nylon inserts or deformed threads instead of a second nut: Use a locknut on any connection subject to vibration.
